Billiards Day: Beginner Class and Competition
Do you like billiards or want to learn how to play? This is your chance! We are hosting a combined beginner class and billiards competition with the support of three professional players.
Competition (4 hours)
Put what you’ve learned into practice in a tournament with other participants! The format will be elimination rounds, best of 3 games (2 wins). There will be 16 spots available, and players will be randomly assigned to 4 tables (2 of 7 feet and 2 of 9 feet).
During the competition, non-competing participants can continue practicing on other tables with assistance from our professional players.There will be a prize for the winner of the competition!
Introduction to Billiards (15 minutes)
We will provide a brief introduction to the different types of billiards, the parts of a cue stick, and the differences between bar rules and competition rules. This is the perfect way to start understanding the basics of the game!
Billiards Class (1 hour)
Led by our professional players, you’ll learn the basic techniques to start playing:
- How to position your body and the correct postureThe proper hand positions for holding the cue stickTechniques for executing shotsHow to calculate where to aim to pocket the ball
